Welcome To Barradise Lodge
Barradise Lodge is situated on the Endeavour River, fourteen kilometres upstream from Cooktown.
This historic town, made famous by Captain Cook on his voyage of
discovery in 1770, is a three and a half hour drive from Cairns. Travel
the inland or picturesque coast road by coach or 4-wheel drive vehicle.
From Cairns International Airport there is a connecting flight to
Cooktown each morning and evening on weekdays as well as Saturday
morning and Sunday evening.
Cooktown has much to offer visitors to the north. It is the closest
town to the most pristine part of the Great Barrier Reef, Elim Beach
with its famous coloured sand hills, great fishing and crabbing,
waterfalls, Aboriginal cultural sites and historic buildings.
